A magnificent 25-mile-from-beginning-to-end whitewater part on Navajo River is nearby. This, the Lower 25 miles to San Juan confluence segment, is a type I-II. This part of Navajo River is a magnificent location for beginners in paddling. Of course, paddling is cool but dangerous; check restrictions in advance of a trip.
