Here at Country Inn there are plenty of folks from Lexington-Fayette, and if you're a golfer then a fine close by course is Spring Valley Golf Course. A close by class II(III) whitewater sweep can be found on Boone Creek; the Kentucky 418 Bridge to Kentucky River portion is 6.3 miles long. The Kentucky 418 Bridge to Kentucky River portion of Boone Creek is fitting for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater boating for some time but who are not yet ready for the extremely perilous rapids. If you're looking for a category II-IV whitewater stretch

to paddle, you're in luck; the Confluence of Smith Fork to Kentucky River sector is a delightful 2.5-mile-long piece of Calloway Creek. The class IV Kentucky 418 to Kentucky River section of Jouett Creek is 1.8 miles long. The Kentucky 418 to Kentucky River section of Jouett Creek is well suited for raft paddlers who have been raft paddling for a while but who are not yet set for the very perilous rapids. Tates Creek has a pleasant 5-mile-long grade II+(III) whitewater part nearby, the Million Kentucky to 169 Bridge sector. For raft paddling this part of Tates Creek is an enjoyable place. On Hickman Creek close by you bump into the 4-mile-long Kentucky 1541 to Elm Fork Road portion of type I-II whitewater. The experienced raft paddlers should probably stay away from this bit of Hickman Creek. If you are going whitewater rafting and kayaking, you have to always check current conditions.
Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Lakeside Golf Course; playing golf is lots of fun at Marriott Griffin Gate Resort & Golf Club Golf Course.
