You are   not expected to get drenched whitewater boating this section of Goose Falls. A tremendous 9.5-mile-in-length whitewater segment on Marsh Stream is close by. This, the Monroe Center to West Winterport portion, is a category I-II. Do depend on remaining dry kayak paddling this segment of Marsh Stream. The 14-mile-long South Orrington to Sandy Point section is a class I-III section of whitewater on Penobscot River. In general this part of Penobscot River is an exciting place for whitewater kayaking or rafting. Don't go whitewater kayaking or rafting before first checking current conditions; it's treacherous business. Enjoy a round of golf at Searsport Pines Golf Course not far from Yardarm Motel; a day at beautiful Spragues Beach in the neighborhood of Yardarm Motel is a pleasant thing to do.
