| Nearby you come across the Pine Hill Road and Route 25 section, a class IV-V segment of whitewater. It's a splendid 6-mile-in-length segment on Lovell River. This part of Lovell River is splendid for those with much whitewater know-how. You have to check current conditions in advance of a trip; whitewater paddling may get dangerous.

Ames Farm Inn offers a good site in Gilford, New Hampshire, an outstanding vacation hideaway in the White Mountains. 220 acres of skiable territory is at your disposal at Gunstock;
blue and green ski trails account for 75% while red and black ski trails make up 25% of the ski trails. There are brilliant ski trails for everybody at Gunstock. There's a brilliant 1,400-foot vertical drop to enjoy at the close by ski area Gunstock. Gunstock obtains 8 feet of
ice cold snow per winter, and has 8 good ski lifts serving the 45 ski trails. Abenaki is a wonderful ski area with 2 acres of terrain. 5% of the trails are red and black and 95% are intermediate or beginner. The 3 trails at Abenaki are all splendid; the drop from top to bottom is 100 feet at this ski area. Abenaki gets 8 feet of white snow per year and has 1 good ski lifts to carry all the skiers up the hill.
