Inn is lovely, and you don’t have to go far from Stumble Inn to catch a sight of the water at Irish Brook Dam. There's a nice 16-mile-long class II-IV whitewater section on Pequannock River nearby, the Route 51 to Alt Route 511 portion. You might get wet whitewater paddling this
section of Pequannock River, so you should be ready for that. Nearby there is a delightful 0.7-mile-long category IV-V whitewater run, the Below Falls to Route 287 sector of Rockaway River. In general this run of Rockaway River is a demanding site for kayak paddling. Near Stumble
Inn is a delightful 7.5-mile-long bit of whitewater on Ramapo River, a class II-III, this is the Route 210 to Ramapo sector. Don’t rely on remaining dry whitewater kayaking and rafting this bit of Ramapo River if by chance you're not an experienced raft paddler. Of course, whitewater
kayaking and rafting is enjoyable but treacherous; check the situation prior to departure. This is a popular site for people from Bloomingdale; delightful water scenery is available at Glen Wild Lake Dam near Stumble Inn.
