of whitewater. This stretch of East Kill River is an exciting stretch for raft paddling. The Swinging Bridge to Route 23-A bridge portion is a splendid 5.7-mile-long grade II-V+ bit of whitewater on Batavia Kill River. Kayak paddlers on this bit of Batavia Kill River should boast
quite a little familiarity in raft paddling. The Albinos Pizzeria to Schoharie Creek section has a distance of 7.7 miles; you come across this section of whitewater on West Kill River. It's a grade II-IV section. When the conditions are right this section of West Kill River is
an enjoyable section of river for whitewater paddling. Nearby you encounter the Cooksburg to Woodstock Dam section, a type II-III section of whitewater. It's a great 17-mile-from-beginning-to-end section on Catskill Creek. By and large this section of Catskill Creek is an enjoyable location for whitewater boating. Naturally, whitewater boating is enjoyable but treacherous; check restrictions in advance of a trip.
