Of the 20 acres of skiable territory 30% is red and black; there's something for everyone at Hawksnest. There's a pleasant 365-foot elevation difference to take pleasure in at the nearby ski hill Appalachian Mountain. Appalachian Mountain gets blanketed by 4 feet of snow per season, and has 5 great ski lifts serving the 9 slopes. Green and blue slopes make up 65% of the slopes at Appalachian Mountain; everyone likes this nearby ski hill with its 17 acres of skiing territory. 35% of the slopes at Appalachian Mountain are tough, so the skilled skiers can have a pleasant time too.
