of Raven Fork should have a little knowledge in whitewater paddling. Near Casino Villas is a fine 5-mile-from-beginning-to-end section of whitewater on Tuckasegee River, a class II(III), this is the Dillsboro to Route 1392 sector. This section of Tuckasegee River is not a site
for learners to come raft paddling single-handedly. A good 4-mile-long whitewater run on Oconaluftee River is close by. This, the Quiet Walkway to Smokemont sector, is a category III. You might get soaked whitewater kayaking or rafting this run of Oconaluftee River, so you should
be prepared for that. Always check the situation ahead of going whitewater kayaking or rafting because whitewater kayaking or rafting is a risky thing to do. Everyone loves Cataloochee and its 65 acres of ski terrain. 75% of the ski runs are beginner and intermediate while 25%
of them are difficult and well suited for skilled skiers. The 10 ski runs of Cataloochee are all cool and are served by 4 good ski lifts. The altitude difference is 740 feet, and this ski hill gets 2 feet of fluffy snow per season.
