you don’t want to risk getting soaked this segment of Cullasaja River is possibly not for you. You find the 2-mile-from-start-to-finish Base of Cullasaja Falls to Peeks Creek Bridge portion of Cullasaja River close by; this is a class IV-V(V+) whitewater segment. If by chance you
are a beginner, you should most likely look for a different segment of whitewater to paddle than this segment of Cullasaja River. A class I-III, 23-mile-long whitewater section can be found on nearby Little Tennessee River, the North Carolina Route 28 to US Route 19 portion. This
portion of Little Tennessee River is recommended for raft paddlers of medium knowledge. Always check current conditions ahead of going raft paddling given that raft paddling is a risky pastime. Scaly Mountain close by is a perfect ski hill; it receives 6 feet of good snow every
winter; it has 10 slopes, 4 different ski lifts, and a fine 225-foot elevation difference. Everyone likes Scaly Mountain and its 12 acres of terrain. 90% of the slopes are intermediate or beginner while 10% of them are red and black and appropriate for expert skiers. The first
