Don't leave American Inn and Suites without visiting Ochoco National Forest. Moores Spring is a tremendous local attraction, and if you want to hit the beach, Nye Beach is in the vicinity. | The Meadow Creek to 3 miles above mouth sector is a brilliant 17-mile-long category II-III section of whitewater on Drift Creek. This section of Drift Creek is not a place for novices to come kayak paddling solo. Check conditions before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe. During your tour to American Inn and Suites you'll meet some folks from Newport for sure, and Moolack Beach is reasonably nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. An attention-grabbing thing to go to close to American Inn and Suites is South Jetty, and needless to say, everyone loves Yaquina Bay State Park.
