There's a good 2,777-foot drop to enjoy at the nearby ski area Mt. Hood Meadows. Mt. Hood Meadows receives 36 feet of wonderful snow every season, and has 12 great ski lifts serving the 87 ski runs. The 2,150 acres of skiable land at Mt. Hood Meadows is loved by skiers from far and near. Mt. Hood Meadows has 35% tough ski runs and 65% beginner and intermediate ski runs. 50 acres of ski terrain is available to the skiers who show up at Cooper Spur during ski season; 80% of the runs are beginner and intermediate while 20% are expert and advanced. Ski down the 10 runs of Cooper Spur; this ski area has an elevation difference of 500 feet. Cooper Spur has 2 different ski lifts and boasts on average 8 feet of good snow every year.
