Don't leave Timberline Lodge without popping by Viento State Park. Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is a skiers heaven. It has 40% difficult runs on its 960 acres of skiing
    land, and 60% beginner and intermediate runs for novices. Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, the close by ski area has 9 lifts and receives 25 feet of ice cold snow per year on its 65 runs. The drop from top to bottom is 1,500 feet at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. 46 feet of seasonal beautiful snow covers
the close by ski area Timberline Lodge having its 3,590 feet of altitude difference. 6 ski lifts serve the 32 slopes at Timberline Lodge. Timberline Lodge is a good ski area, everyone loves it. 80% of the slopes are easy and fitting for young ones and beginners. The rest of the 1,000 acres of skiing territory, 20%, consists of tough slopes. 36 feet of snow fall annually on the 87 ski trails of Mt. Hood Meadows. This close by ski resort has a height difference of 2,777 feet and has 12 great ski lifts. Mt. Hood Meadows is esteemed by skiers; it has 65%  
intermediate or beginner ski trails and 35% black and red ski trails. A total of 2,150 acres of skiable territory in all. About 20% of the ski runs covering the 50 acres of skiable terrain at Cooper Spur are black and red while 80% of the ski runs are blue and green. Skiers love Cooper Spur; it's a perfect ski resort. Cooper Spur nearby is a nice ski resort; it boasts 8 feet of snow per season; it has 10 ski runs, 2 lifts, and a perfect 500-foot drop. A fine place like Summit Meadows here at Timberline Lodge is too great to miss, and Starvation Creek State Park is a magnificent spot to go.
At Timberline Lodge through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Timberline Lodge during the winter usually dip into the 30's. 3,014 feet is the difference in height of close by Hidden Lake Trail. Hidden Lake Trail is 8.2 miles of backpacking showing you some extremely beautiful places. Being a demanding backpacking and hiking trail, backpacking the Hidden Lake Trail calls for something like one and a half days. The difference between top and bottom is 1,309 feet for a scenic 5-mile-long backpacking and hiking trail in the vicinity; we are of course talking about the Tom Dick Trail. A scenic backpacking and hiking trail it is; Tom Dick Trail takes roughly speaking four and a half hours to trek. The joy never stops when you explore Government Camp.
There's some exciting stuff to see at Trillium Lake Dam in close proximity to Timberline Lodge; you'll meet a lot of people from Government Camp here. The high level of rainfall makes Timberline Lodge a pretty wet place; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here; July on the other hand is the driest. Nearby you discover the McNeil Campground to Lolo Pass Road segment, a class IV segment of whitewater. It's a nice 4.5-mile-in-length segment on Sandy River. The McNeil Campground to Lolo Pass Road segment of Sandy River is suited for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater paddling for a bit but who are not yet ready for the very treacherous rapids. If you like whitewater, there is the 3 miles above West Fork to Confluence with West Fork section, a grade IV-V whitewater bit on Hood River - Lake Branch, 3 miles in distance. This bit of Hood River - Lake Branch is well suitable for those proficient in whitewater rafting and kayaking. The Tollgate to Sandy River segment, a whitewater sweep on Zigzag River is 3.2 miles from beginning to end. This close by sweep of whitewater is a category III-IV. For whitewater paddling this sweep of Zigzag River is an enjoyable place. Unsurprisingly, whitewater paddling is exciting but hazardous; check the latest conditions ahead of going.
