class I-IV whitewater stretch on Lackawanna River close by, the Carbondale to Susquehanna River segment. This stretch of Lackawanna River is appropriate for paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking or rafting for a while but who are not yet prepared for the especially risky rapids.
Nearby there is a pleasant 9.8-mile-from-start-to-finish type I-III whitewater segment, the Stillwater Lake to Carbondale sector of Lackawanna River. The Stillwater Lake to Carbondale sector of Lackawanna River is suggested for raft paddlers of medium know-how. Unsurprisingly,

Days Inn is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Dunmore Number One Dam has nice water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Days Inn, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Wemberly Hills Golf Course is close at hand.
