Union Creek Trail necessitates something like one and a half days to hike. A great 4.8-mile-in-length backcountry trail featuring a great 558-foot elevation difference can be encountered in close proximity. This is the Dalles Ridge Trail; it's a charming backcountry trek. Chinook
Creek has a good 5-mile-in-length category IV-V whitewater run close by, the Deer Creek to Cedar Flats segment. The Deer Creek to Cedar Flats segment of Chinook Creek is well suited for whitewater paddlers who have been raft paddling for a period of time. On White River close by
you bump into the 10-mile-long Silver Springs Campground to West Fork White segment of category III whitewater. The Silver Springs Campground to West Fork White segment of White River is recommended for kayak paddlers of medium experience. American River has a grade II-III+ segment
of whitewater nearby. The 7.5-mile-in-distance Lodgepole Campground to Hell's Crossing segment is good to run. The Lodgepole Campground to Hell's Crossing segment of American River is suitable for raft paddlers who have been whitewater rafting and kayaking for a bit but who are
not yet set for the incredibly treacherous rapids. On nearby Summit Creek you come upon a class V+ segment of whitewater; the Soda Springs to Highway 123 section is 5 miles long. If by chance you are a novice, you should in all probability search for a different segment of whitewater
to kayak than this segment of Summit Creek. Check circumstances before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe. If you crave a little side spree, try Bear Gap, and on a beautiful day you obtain a wonderful sight of Crown Point from Crystal Mountain Hotels.
