River - North Fork. The North Fork Confluence to Hendricks segment on Blackwater River is a nearby type III-V whitewater part, 7 miles long. Don't go whitewater rafting or kayaking on this part of Blackwater River unless you believe your whitewater rafting or kayaking abilities
are very splendid. There's a tremendous 4-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade V+ whitewater segment on Red Run close by, the Ford at FS 13 road to confluence of Dry Fork section. The beginners should almost certainly stay away from this segment of Red Run. Whitewater rapids are risky things, so you have to check current conditions before heading out.
