You’ll beyond doubt like your stay in Davis. Nearby you bump into the Wildlife Preserve to Davis portion, a type I-II(III) stretch of whitewater. It's a brilliant 11-mile-in-length stretch on Blackwater River. This portion of Blackwater River is brilliant for those with a little bit of whitewater boating know-how. If you like whitewater, there is the Blackwater Falls to North Fork Confluence section, a type IV-V+ whitewater run on Blackwater River, 2.4 miles in distance. The Blackwater Falls to North Fork Confluence section of Blackwater River is appropriate for whitewater boaters who have been whitewater paddling for some time. The Rt. 219 to confluence with Blackwater River portion, a whitewater run on Blackwater River - North Fork is 3.9 miles long. This close by run of whitewater is a class V+. In case you are a novice, you should probably search for a different run of whitewater to paddle than this run of Blackwater River - North Fork. The North Fork Confluence to Hendricks segment on Blackwater River is a nearby type III-V whitewater part, 7 miles long. Don't go whitewater rafting or kayaking on this part of Blackwater River unless you believe your whitewater rafting or kayaking abilities are very splendid. There's a tremendous 4-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade V+ whitewater segment on Red Run close by, the Ford at FS 13 road to confluence of Dry Fork section. The beginners should almost certainly stay away from this segment of Red Run. Whitewater rapids are risky things, so you have to check current conditions before heading out.
