If you don’t would like to get covered with water, this part of Laurel Creek   - Cherry Tributary is almost certainly not for you. On nearby Cranberry River you run into a type II-IV bit of whitewater; the Big Rock Camping Area to Gauley River sector is 7 miles long. It may be said that this bit of Cranberry River is a place for fun kayak paddling. Check conditions before you go on the whitewater, or else it's not safe and sound.
