place for whitewater kayaking and rafting. On Rock Creek you come across the nearby Military Road to Potomac River in D. portion. This is a type I-III, 4-mile-from-beginning-to-end run of whitewater. This run of Rock Creek is not a spot for novices to come whitewater boating alone.
The Highway 3 to Potomac segment is a perfect 10-mile-long class I run of whitewater on Anacostia River. The expert whitewater boaters should almost certainly stay away from this run of Anacostia River. Nearby you run into the Little Falls segment, a grade II-III(IV) stretch of
whitewater. It's a nice 2-mile-long stretch on Potomac River. You might get soaked kayak paddling this stretch of Potomac River, so you should be prepared for that. Don't go kayak paddling in advance of first checking circumstances; it's treacherous matter.
