The 4.1-mile-from-start-to-finish Mossy to Westerly section is perfect to paddle. This section of Paint Creek is proposed for whitewater boaters of medium familiarity. well suited for kayak paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking or rafting for a bit but who are not yet ready for the exceptionally hazardous rapids. On Dunloup Creek you come across the close by Harvey to New River at Thurmond portion. This is a category III-IV, 6-mile-in-distance
run of whitewater. This portion of Dunloup Creek is good for those with a little kayak paddling experience. The McCreery to Thurmond section has a length of 15 miles; you find this bit of whitewater on New River. It's a class II-III bit. In the event that you boast some whitewater
boating familiarity, this section of New River may be a good place for you. Of course, whitewater boating is enjoyable but risky; check circumstances before heading out. Looking for a great tour? New River Gorge National River is pretty in close proximity to Beckley Days Inn, and for you golfers we recommend close by Saddlebred Golf Club.
