of Big Cottonwood Creek is a mid difficulty part for kayak paddling. Jordan River has a nearby whitewater bit; the Utah Lake to Rose Park segment is a great 51-mile-long class I-II bit of whitewater. By and large this bit of Jordan River is not a difficult spot for whitewater kayaking
| and rafting. Always check the situation in advance of a trip whitewater kayaking and rafting given that whitewater kayaking and rafting is a perilous pursuit.
City Creek Canyon is close to Hampton Inn and is a pleasant site, and you'll probably meet some folks from North Salt Lake here. Baby sitters are available at Hampton Inn, so you may have a romantic dinner for two. Don't leave Hampton Inn without dropping by Jordan River State Park, and if you're here you can play some golf at Old Mill Golf Course.

2,500 acres of skiable area at Snowbird are challenging while 65% of the runs are easy. Skiers like Snowbird; it's a wonderful ski resort. Alta, the close by ski hill has a drop from top to bottom of 2,020 feet; this ski hill has 12 lifts, and 42 feet of white snow every season
covering its 54 slopes. The hard slopes at Alta account for 35% of the slopes, and they are very good; learners and young ones are in luck too, 65% of the 2,200 acres of skiing area are blanketed by easy slopes. The summit of Ensign Peak can be seen from Hampton Inn, and Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail is a magnificent national park.
