Beaver Creek Lodge, Beaver Creek, Sawatch Range, Colorado   There's a fine 7-mile-from-beginning-to-end class III whitewater section on Eagle River nearby, the Riverbend bus stop to Edwards sector. This section of Eagle River is suggested for paddlers of medium skill. This sweep of Cross Creek is well fitting for those experienced in raft paddling. Nearby there is a delightful 4-mile-from-beginning-to-end class IV-V(V+) whitewater section, the Redcliff to Tigiwan Rd sector of Eagle River. This, the East Vail Exit (I-70) to Eagle River sector, is a grade III-IV. This sweep of Gore Creek is appropriate for whitewater paddlers who have been kayak paddling for a period of time but who are not yet set for the genuinely risky rapids. You find the 0.25-mile-long 1/4 mile above confluence with Eagle River segment of Homestake Creek close by; this is a grade V whitewater bit. This bit of Homestake Creek is a challenging bit for kayak paddling. Naturally, kayak paddling is enjoyable but treacherous; check the latest conditions ahead of going.
