1,200 acres of skiing area at Solitude is blue and green, wonderful for kids and learners. 30% of the runs on the other hand are expert and advanced and wonderful for proficient skiers. 60% of the trails at Brighton are beginner and intermediate. Of the 850 acres of skiable area
40% is advanced and expert; there's something for everybody at Brighton. Brighton, the close by ski resort has a drop from top to bottom of 1,745 feet; this ski resort has 8 lifts, and 42 feet of fluffy snow yearly covering its 66 trails. On a bright sunny day it's always a delight
to take advantage of all the fun stuff to do near Marriott Salt Lake City University Park. A nearby type I-IV whitewater part is to be found on Big Cottonwood Creek; the Old Mill to 3900 South section is 8.5 miles long. Don’t rely on continuing to be dry whitewater boating this
part of Big Cottonwood Creek if you're not an experienced raft paddler. If you're seeking a class I-III whitewater bit to paddle, you're in luck; the Creek Road to I-15 sector is a tremendous 7-mile-in-length piece of Little Cottonwood Creek. If you don’t want to risk getting drenched
this bit of Little Cottonwood Creek is probably not for you. Jordan River has a pleasant 51-mile-in-length grade I-II whitewater segment close by, the Utah Lake to Rose Park section. This section of Jordan River is suitable for kayak paddlers who haven't been raft paddling for
so long. Always check the situation prior to departure raft paddling given that raft paddling is a treacherous pursuit.
