in whitewater boating. The close by type IV-V, 3.6-mile-in-length Bridge at Flat Creek Road to Bridge at US Route 64 portion of whitewater on Rocky Broad River is loads of fun. This sweep of Rocky Broad River is a hard sweep for raft paddling. A close by type I-II whitewater sweep
can be encountered on Broad River; the Route 1181 to North Carolina Route 1004 portion is 16.8 miles long. In general this sweep of Broad River is not a hard site for kayak paddling. Check current conditions previous to going on the whitewater, otherwise it's not secure. Of course
