There's a wonderful 9.2-mile-in-distance class III-IV whitewater sweep on Gore Creek close by, the East Vail Exit (I-70) to Eagle River section. You might get drenched raft paddling     this sweep of Gore Creek, so you should be set for that. If by chance you are a novice, you should probably look for a different part of whitewater to run than this part of Cross Creek. Nearby there is a great 4-mile-in-distance class IV-V(V+) whitewater section, the Redcliff to Tigiwan Rd sector of Eagle River. The novices should perhaps stay away from this section of Eagle River. You must check current conditions before heading out; whitewater rafting or kayaking could become dangerous. The 193 ski runs at Vail are all good; the drop is 3,450 feet at this ski hill. Vail has 29 feet of beautiful snow every year and has 34 different ski lifts to move all the skiers up the hill. There are 5,289 acres of skiing land at Vail, 40% of the ski runs are expert and advanced; those are the ones the experienced skiers love the most.   60% of the ski runs at Vail are beginner and intermediate and appropriate for little ones and learners. While you're here at Breakaway West you can play some golf at Vail Golf Club, and lots of people from Edwards come here. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Park Range.
