come upon the nearby Lower New Boston sector. This is a type II-III, 2.25-mile-from-start-to-finish run of whitewater. The Lower New Boston sector of Farmington River - West Branch is appropriate for raft paddlers who have been whitewater rafting and kayaking for a bit but who are not yet set for the truly risky rapids. The Upper New Boston portion has a distance of 3 miles; you bump into this sweep of whitewater on Farmington River - West Branch. It's a grade III-IV sweep. The Upper New Boston portion of Farmington River - West Branch is well suited for kayak paddlers who have been raft paddling for a while but who are not yet prepared for the very treacherous rapids. Always check restrictions before you go raft paddling in view of the fact that raft paddling is a treacherous thing to do.

A total of 110 acres of skiable area in all. Otis Ridge, the close by ski resort has 5 great ski lifts and obtains 6 feet of ice cold snow per year on its 11 trails. The drop from top to bottom is 400 feet at Otis Ridge. 30% of the 60 acres of skiable area at Otis Ridge consist of challenging trails. But there are nice trails for little ones and novices as well; 70% of the trails are easy. The red and black ski trails account for 30% of the beloved ski trails at Catamount, the ski area every skier enjoys. There's 105 acres of skiable land to enjoy, 70% of which are blue and green ski trails. 7 feet of wonderful snow fall every year on the 1,000-foot drop of Catamount, the nearby ski area. Catamount has 29 ski trails and 7 good ski lifts. The challenging ski trails at Catamount account for 30% of the ski trails, and they are very splendid; beginners and children are in luck too, 70% of the 105 acres of skiing area are covered by beginner and intermediate ski trails. 7 feet of yearly good snow covers the close by ski mountain Catamount in possession of its 1,000 feet of altitude difference. 7 different ski lifts serve the 29 ski trails at Catamount.
