At Linville River Farm. Near Inn At Linville River Farm is a good 2.5-mile-long part of whitewater on Catawba River - North Fork, a type IV-V+, this is the Linville portion. This portion of Catawba River - North Fork is appropriate for paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking
or rafting for a bit. A great 10-mile-from-start-to-finish whitewater run on North Toe River is nearby. This, the Plumtree to Bush Rd/Rt. 19E portion, is a type II. This portion of North Toe River is proposed for novice kayak paddlers. The 16.4-mile-in-length Linville Falls to
Lake James section is a type IV-V+ section of whitewater on Linville River. This part of Linville River is wonderful for those with a large amount of whitewater practice. You find the 9-mile-long Wilson Creek Tributary section of North Harper Creek nearby; this is a category IV-V(V+)
whitewater sweep. This sweep of North Harper Creek is recommended for proficient raft paddlers only. Whitewater rapids are dangerous occurrences, so you must check the latest conditions before heading out. In Newland, there’s always something fun to do. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sight of Three Knobs from Inn At Linville River Farm is charming.
