The Clifton II to Lawson's Fork portion is a great 3.5-mile-in-distance grade I-II section   of whitewater on Pacolet. If by chance you wanna get soaked, this section of Pacolet is almost certainly not for you. The Cornmill Road Close to Mayo to Pacolet River section has a mileage of 6 miles; you run into this stretch of whitewater on Island Creek. It's a type II-III stretch. The Cornmill Road Close to Mayo to Pacolet River section of Island Creek is recommended for paddlers of medium skill. Unsurprisingly, raft paddling is amusing but risky; check the latest conditions ahead of going. You're sure to run into some nice people from Gaffney here.
