backpacking. Hiking the El Capitan Trail, a demanding hiking trail, requires roughly two and a half days. Near Dnc is a pleasant 4.8-mile-from-start-to-finish section of whitewater on Merced River, a grade V, this is the Routes 120-140 Junction to Arch Rock Entrance Station sector.
Whitewater paddlers on this section of Merced River should boast quite a little bit of experience in raft paddling. A good 1-mile-in-length whitewater sweep on Big Creek is nearby. This, the Chowchilla Mountain Road to South Fork Merced River sector, is a category IV-V+. This sweep

ski. The 5 great ski lifts at the nearby ski area Badger Pass transport skiers up to the tops of the 10 runs at Badger Pass.
