of whitewater on Four Mile Run, a grade III, this is the Ohio Street to Arlington Ridge Road portion. In case you don’t want to risk getting drenched this run of Four Mile Run is most likely not for you. A delightful 8-mile-long whitewater section on Anacostia River - Northwest
Branch is close by. This, the US Route 29 to Hyattsville section, is a category I-III(V+). The US Route 29 to Hyattsville section of Anacostia River - Northwest Branch is recommended for proficient whitewater paddlers only. The 10-mile-from-start-to-finish Highway 3 to Potomac
segment is a category I segment of whitewater on Anacostia River. It can be said that this run of Anacostia River is a site for beginner raft paddling. Of course, raft paddling is enjoyable but perilous; check circumstances ahead of going.
