Blandford gets blanketed by 4 feet of ice cold snow every season and has 5 lifts to take all the skiers up the slope. Ski Sundown has 65 acres to ski on; 75% of the ski slopes are intermediate or beginner which is great for learners; 25% of the ski slopes are hard. The 15 ski slopes of Ski Sundown are all enjoyable and are served by 5 ski lifts. The drop is 625 feet, and this ski hill boasts 5 feet of wonderful snow every winter.

paddlers on this run of Little River should have a little practice in whitewater paddling. The Huntington to Russell portion on Westfield River is a close by type I-II whitewater run, 4 miles in length. The Huntington to Russell portion of Westfield River is appropriate for whitewater
boaters who haven't been paddling for very long. There's a great 5.2-mile-long grade I-III whitewater part on Westfield River - North Branch nearby, the Knightsville Dam to Huntington portion. This part of Westfield River - North Branch is not a site for beginners to come whitewater
rafting or kayaking solo. Nearby there is a great 1.5-mile-in-distance class II-III whitewater part, the Route 18 to Highway 187 sector of Farmington River. Don’t be sure of maintaining yourself dry whitewater kayaking or rafting this part of Farmington River if you're not an experienced
whitewater boater. Of course, whitewater kayaking or rafting is enjoyable but hazardous; check current conditions previous to going.
