this ski area has a height difference of 1,300 feet. Shawnee Peak has 5 lifts and obtains on average 9 feet of good snow every season. Shawnee Peak is esteemed by skiers; it has 75% beginner and intermediate trails and 25% hard trails. A total of 239 acres of skiable land in all.

for your skill. There's a nice type I-II run of whitewater nearby on Crooked River, the 9-mile-in-distance Albany to North Waterford sector. You are not expected to get dripping wet whitewater kayaking or rafting this run of Crooked River. If by chance you're trying to find a category
II-III whitewater run to run, you're in luck; the Devils Horseshoe portion is a wonderful 6.8-mile-long piece of Bear. This run of Bear is a fun run for whitewater rafting or kayaking. The grade II-III North Waterford to East Waterford sector of Crooked River is 12 miles long.
When the conditions are right this segment of Crooked River is an enjoyable segment of river for raft paddling. Little Androscoggin River has a delightful 4-mile-from-start-to-finish type IV whitewater stretch close by, the Bryant Pond to Tubbs School portion. Generally this stretch
of Little Androscoggin River is an enjoyable location for whitewater boating. Don't go whitewater boating ahead of first checking circumstances; it's dangerous stuff. Get hot and steamy in the hot sauna.
