with its 2,200 acres of skiing territory. 95% of the slopes at Irwin Lodge are challenging, so the skilled skiers can have a brilliant time too. The 50 feet of snow that fall every winter at the nearby ski hill Irwin Lodge is fine. Irwin Lodge has 3 lifts, a brilliant 2,100-foot
| drop from top to bottom, and 15 slopes. The close by ski resort Aspen Highlands gets 25 feet of snow annually. Aspen Highlands has 4 lifts that serve its 131 slopes; the vertical drop is 3,635 feet. The intermediate or beginner slopes account for 48% of the slopes at Aspen Highlands; no wonder this ski resort is such a fine site. jacuzzi, and when the day is over, come on down and enjoy yourself in the lounge. Washington Gulch is a great spot to discover; Crested Butte is easy to spot from Westwall Lodge. The 0.75-mile-in-length Gothic Bridge to above Stupid Falls section is a category IV section of
whitewater on East River. This stretch of East River is suggested for whitewater paddlers of medium experience. You find the 1-mile-in-distance Ankle Breaker to Beaver Ponds portion of Oh Be Joyful Creek close by; this is a class V whitewater segment. Taken as a whole this segment
of Oh Be Joyful Creek is a tough location for whitewater rafting or kayaking. A class V, 2-mile-in-length whitewater section can be found on nearby Slate River, the Beaver Ponds to Oh Be Joyful Campground segment. This section of Slate River is a difficult section for paddling.
The close by category V, 1-mile-in-length 40' Waterfall to confluence with Slate River portion of whitewater on Daisy Creek is heaps of fun. It can be said that this stretch of Daisy Creek is a site for proficient kayak paddling. There's a great grade V+ run of whitewater nearby
on Crystal River - North Fork, the 0.65-mile-long to scree slope section. Only those proficient in raft paddling should venture to run this run of Crystal River - North Fork. Don't snub to check conditions before heading out raft paddling to ensure your safety. For a tremendous
journey, Westwall Lodge is a tremendous location to hang out. The great view of the pool is really great at Westwall Lodge; of course the view of the slopes is great and of course slopes are pretty.
