There's a magnificent 2.2-mile-from-beginning-to-end class II+ whitewater run on Gulpha Creek nearby,   the Ridgeway Road to Highway 270 portion. The Ridgeway Road to Highway 270 portion of Gulpha Creek is proposed for kayak paddlers of medium practice. Nearby there is a good 4.5-mile-long category II+(III) whitewater section, the NFR 45 to NFR 86 portion of Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary. The NFR 45 to NFR 86 portion of Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary is appropriate for whitewater boaters who have been whitewater kayaking and rafting for a bit but who are not yet ready for the really dangerous rapids. Near Los Lagos is a tremendous 11.3-mile-long segment of whitewater on South Fourche LaFave, a type II+(III), this is the Highway 7 to Deberrie low-water bridge section. The Highway 7 to Deberrie low-water bridge section of South Fourche LaFave is fitting for kayak paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking and rafting for a while but who are not yet ready for the extremely dangerous rapids.
