and kayaking for a while. This part of Lime Creek is perfect for those with lots of whitewater practice. On nearby Lime Creek you find a grade V+ run of whitewater; the 1st Gorge portion is 3 miles long. This run of Lime Creek is appropriate for raft paddlers who have been whitewater
kayaking and rafting for a period of time. Raft paddling can become perilous, so check restrictions in advance of a trip. Interesting geology is available here; Needle Rock is in the vicinity of The Hotel Telluride, and there are plenty of folks from Ophir here.
